Niagara Canada:
North America's Third Largest Greenhouse Floral Producing Region

Ontario is North America's third largest greenhouse floriculture producer, following California and Florida. Niagara is home to more than 30% of Ontario's floral production area. Our 200 greenhouse operations are home to some of Canada's industry champions... and we're expanding!

With a traditional, Dutch-based commitment to excellence that spans three generations, Niagara's greenhouse owner-operators have taken leadership roles in developing efficient, profitable product lines, quality standards and export markets.

Together, they form a strong, well-established floriculture industry network growing a diversity of products recognized as being among the best in the world.

Niagara has more than 14 million sq. ft. dedicated to greenhouse production. Over 80% (11 million sq. ft.) of the area under glass or plastic in Niagara is devoted to floral crops, cut flowers, potted floral and foliage, bedding plants, nursery stock and propagating materials. We have all the essential components: ideal weather, ample water and energy, market proximity, highways, support industries and expertise to ensure quality, variety and year-round availability of the floral products wholesalers demand.

Our membership in Flowers Canada brings the power of teamwork to Niagara's floricultural industry. Ongoing capital investment in new operations and state-of-the-art technology add to our competitive edge.

Niagara Growers:

"A proud, competitive network of owner-operators with traditional commitment to excellence spanning three generations... a proven source of quality, variety and year-round availability."
