The Welland Canal corridor has 20 wharves along its 43 km stretch from Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The canal overcomes the 99.5 m difference between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie with eight locks. Every year, the Welland Canal has tens of millions of tons of cargo shipped through.
Ports Niagara is a key part of a multimodal hub that can take your products by rail, road, air or water. The canal is within an hours drive to two international airports and 4 border crossings.
