Education

The Niagara Region is the place to be when it comes to education. For secondary education Niagara has two public school boards, the District School Board of Niagara, and the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Together the two public school boards manage up to 150 elementary schools and 30 high schools throughout the region.

There is also a large cross section of private schools in Niagara that offer a distinct learning environment from the primary to High School grades.

Niagara also has a McMaster University satellite campus in Niagara called the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, which is designed for students who wish to learn and to experience medicine in the Niagara Region.
