Niagara Canada continues to experience steady growth.  There are a great many signs pointing to Niagara's resiliency and ability to weather turbulent times better than most other regions.  These same signs also suggest Niagara is positioned for continued economic growth.

Population growth in Niagara also continues to be positive.  Between 1996 and 2001, some communities within Niagara grew by as much as 9.6%.

Niagara's well educated workforce has very competitive wage rates, consistently lower than any of the 52 US States and lower than larger Canadian urban areas.

Detailed tables and graphs of 2001 Census Canada data are available from the Regional Health Profile.
