Centre for Integrated Manufacturing Training and Applied Research (CIMTAR)
Niagara College has established a state-of-the-art Centre for Integrated Manufacturing and Applied Research (CIMTAR) to help Niagara's manufacturing labour force acquire advanced skills and knowledge through integrated technological training programs and courses. CIMTAR also provides companies with the opportunity to collaborate with college staff: to conduct applied research; to design, test and develop new products; and to seek support for commercializing products.
CIMTAR features advanced laboratories for engineering design; simulations and rapid prototyping; computer integrated manufacturing systems; automation and robotics development; and quality control and inspection.

Microelectronics Laboratory
Niagara College operates a unique training facility capable of research and development in microelectronics. The 4,000 sq.ft Microelectronics Laboratory, the only training facility of its kind in Canada, is housed in a clean room environment designed to emulate the manufacturing flow process. Students gain hands-on experience in microcircuit manufacturing and advanced electronic packaging techniques.
