The Business Development Centres (BDCs) are non-profit corporations. Their mandate is to help promote small business, entrepreneurship and economic development in their respective communities.
BDCs can make investments in new or existing small business which create new jobs or preserve existing employment. Loans to a maximum of $125,000 (maximum term of five years) are available. The BDC's can also assist in providing information on other government services and programs.
